KhainiWest Wrote:How the hell do you come up with this? This is your basic underlining point, which is why I'm disregarding the rest of it. There are 76 filler episodes throughout the entirity of one piece. That's 611 episodes, 76 of them are disregarded, that's 12%. You're trying to put the blunt of your argument on a 12% statistic. Not only that, but majority of the filler is 2-3 episodes after the main arc, and into the transisition to the next one. And some of the filler is actually good. G8 was fantastic and the longest "filler" to date at 11 episodes.
In fact, you're pretty much shooting yourself in the foot if you bring up how slow fishman island and punk hazard has been, it's the same pace as the frekin manga when it was releasing.
Then you go on about how "dark/indepth" one piece is making it a bad anime, do you know how political ruroni kenshin was? How death note questioned all forms of morality, how code geass pretty much replayed the role jesus christ had? Overall, one piece follows the manga not only accurately, but presents nearly the same information that the manga does. So for you to say it's simply a good manga and not a good anime is kind of..silly
Code Geass played the pace correctly. It's not difficult to see the world around it, it's much more simple. In my opinion it's not nearly as difficult to understand what's going on.
Morality in Death Note? A teenager was given the ability to do death to any person he pleases. It just so happens that it was a smart kid with a God complex. It's just a kid that went on a power craze.
It's the beginning of the Meiji era where they're starting to reach new cultures and samurai are going poof. It's obvious what politically is going on.
I'm gonna stop working backwards here.
I didn't mean to include the word fillers. That was something I was going to edit out later, but I got caught up doing work for my dad so I forgot about it.
Animes/Light Novels/ and Manga all differ greatly. Some people change the storyline, some simplify it, some people do total 180's. One Piece's pacing and storyline hasn't change at all, if only a little. To give an effect of all whats going on in 20 minutes for 3 chapters or so worth of information is too difficult. Hell, Code Geass and Death Note even did 1 chapter episodes to explain some significant information. But, if we cut out the fillers, One Piece is doing an Episode every 1-2 chapters. Considering the breaks he has to take for Movies and for compilations with other studios for One Piece X *** one shots. It's going to end up being in the thousands of episodes before One Piece even finishes. Hell, the Blu Ray collection when that f'ucker ends is probably gonna be thousands of dollars lol. I'm not saying what's wrong with the story, it's that it's too damn long for an individual to get into at this point. They might as well read up to that point, watch fillers as they want, and then start watching from when they catch up to the shows current season.
