I assume its the same reason for maple and they're enforcing the rules on it more heavily now.
I have a feeling nexon will not allow fan sites to post them either or they cut ties. Once they're public though its fine but if they're hidden, the DN team has made it very clear to not leak them publicly. They did have some fun with it though after a while. About 2-3 update notes in a row, they knew people would get the links so they just put a bunch of troll faces for the notes.
Tl;dr: dn has been doing this for a while and maple is now following suit. Best recommendation is just abide by it as it seems to be their new company policy and maybe Korea got mad at them, who knows.
...So why wouldnt people post them on non official fan sites, or something like a subreddit?
And why have the lnks up anyways, especially if they are going to fill them with troll faces?
