I mean when they turned the area into a pointless uninteresting cakewalk to CWK along with removing HH and BF.

HH still has a map that it resides in.
Also, even though i agree it was made less interesting, people still never went through the area. I would be the only population in CWK before it was changed to get badges and familiars. I would look around and it would be an empty wonderland most of the time. A population change of 50 to 5 isn't all that much.
