this is just super dumb.
Reggie said that they didn't want to just lower the price of the regular 3DS because it would cut profits, so they made this abomination. It's totally unnecessary, but it'll probably be a big hit with families who don't really care that much about what they give their kids. Bundle it with Pokemon X & Y (which I guarantee will happen right away) and it's a big hit.
But really, it's ugly, it removes a feature that can be turned off just by going to parental controls on a regular 3DS/XL, and those screens are going to be scratched and/or broken much faster because you can't hide them by closing the handheld. $129.99, buy today!
