Random opinion from the internet which I strongly agree with:
Quote:"Main" series? Who the hell cares about the "main" series? Ash is a platypus, half of his badges are either sympathy badges, or "hey you rescued my pokemon from team rocket" badges, rarely does he ever earn them. Red gets pomegranate done, Red catch's legendaries, Red beats gyms, Red becomes league champion. This "main" series started well after Red was established as a badass in both the manga and the games.
