3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman

The amount of new mechanics and monsters they've added I'd say yes. I'm no Hunter veteran by any means, I've only had Ultimate myself for a couple weeks or so and it's my first Hunter game ever but 4 is looking REALLY awesome to me. 4 looks like it's going to be considered the very best Hunter ever made so far. I mean Ultimate is still just a port of a past game with some added extras and whatnot where 4 is a legit sequel with tons of unique content since it isn't a port.

I love the differing terrain I've seen from footage which you AND monsters can utilize during combat. They revamped the climbing mechanics to make them better for these changes. The ability to get on the backs of monsters to basically do to them what they do to you: pin you down and beat you up. Two new weapon types. Everything looks just great.

Plus I don't think it'll have any underwater combat whatsoever which that alone I thank god for cause underwater combat, as nice of a novelty that it is, is rage-inducing in bigger battles. Rolleyes Also, this one will have online play unlike Ultimate for 3DS.

Here's some basic combat with the two new weapons:

I think the reason they chose 3DS exclusively is because from my understanding is that Hunter does really well on portable platforms since it was essentially the biggest system seller for PSPs in Japan. It's made for the Japanese market first in mind because that's where the franchise makes most of its profit.
