The verses are good, but the pre-chorus and chorus is where this track SHINES. God I can't wait to hear this at the club.
This definitely isn't as big of a single as Born This Way though. I mean I'm partially biased in saying that as BTW is my favorite Gaga song overall thus far, but the single was just so much bigger than this due to pre-hype, the effective blocking of leakers at the time that made her release of it that one Friday morning in February the true first place it was heard, and then of course, the track being the massive, over-arching theme of the album and even subsequent foundation.
I mention all of this because Born This Way was supposed to be the "album of the decade," as Gaga herself said, so since it clearly wasn't, and this track isn't bigger than BTW, I'm curious to see how ARTPOP as a whole will pan out. Though thank god Gaga is always unexpected and this album looks like such a new direction for her, so who knows!
