Does anyone know a good place to get Jet Black Feathers? I've been having the worst luck with them, I've just completed Bermia Gorge and I've only found about 50 of them so far. I'd really like to have the Artes Sphere because I've managed to already run out of slots.
You should have around 48 from chests after Bermia.
You can get them from random treasure harvest points too. They're decently rare but it's the only alternative. It's a good reason to explore all of a map though.
I believe Jude gets 22 artes, Milla gets 25, and everyone else gets 18. With only 16 shortcuts with the Artes Sphere, there's some conflicts for everyone. More so if you want to use the right analog for shortcuts to other characters.
That being said, Jude's Sun Spark is terrible. Only use is to activate Judgement Gate or try to charm something. I never found much use for Demon Fist, after the mid-game and Soaring Vortex always seemed like pomegranate to me.
