Tales of Xillia General [In Stores Now]

I felt the Japanese version had her voice have a lot of emotion behind it. I would describe it as noble. She's the Maxwell after all. She spoke in a rather prideful way in my opinion. A lot of her emotions are also put into urgency and dedication to her mission. Sawashiro Miyuki is just amazing though, so it can't be helped that JP > EN once again.

Her voice gets slightly better the further into the game I go, but she still has practically a 100% monotone to her voice in just about every situation. I think I've heard slight emotion...once?

I don't think the voice (actress) they chose for Milla is bad in itself, but it's just the fact that her voice has yet to fit the face. She definitely speaks in a prideful way, but there's just no tone to it. If I didn't have a face I couldn't possibly tell if she was sad, upset, happy, or anything. I get that she's an incarnation of Maxwell, and as a result not really human, but when her face is angry she should sound angry as well.

I don't think it's the fault of the voice actors for the most part, because the girl in red at the beginning of the game had the SAME EXACT problem. I think whoever was directing their dialog didn't put enough effort into making sure the actors knew what was the background behind whatever they were voicing, and as a result they had nothing to base what they said off of except the text itself.

That being said I'm definitely enjoying the game. Though, one other thing annoyed me, although pretty minor. One random victory sequence has Jude bitching about having to fight in general(like fighting monsters, fighting people, etc.). Why does EVERY JRPG I've played recently have to have one of those characters? It's kind of annoying. Outside of that the game has been thoroughly enjoyable so far.
