Tales of Xillia General [In Stores Now]

Polantaris Wrote:Milla's voice makes her sound like a robot. There's just absolutely no emotion in anything she has said so far. I was reading the posts here and was thinking, "It couldn't be that bad...could it?" (because I don't watch videos of games I'm really interested in, hate spoiling anything)...and it is. It's so bad. How could they find this acceptable?

I would normally think that maybe that's just how the character was meant to be, but then they have all the 2D Portraits where her face shows tons of emotion....but her voice is practically monotone.

How far are you into the game? They might be trying to apply a more robotic apathetic atmosphere to her at the beginning.
I felt the Japanese version had her voice have a lot of emotion behind it. I would describe it as noble. She's the Maxwell after all. She spoke in a rather prideful way in my opinion. A lot of her emotions are also put into urgency and dedication to her mission. Sawashiro Miyuki is just amazing though, so it can't be helped that JP > EN once again.

The moment I got Elise and her ability to take 50% TP consumption, I realized how crazy customization can get while Linking!
Spirit Symbols on Master + Spirit Symbol on Slave Elize + her 50% TP consumption = Basically unlimited TP! (AND her Teepo Drain wth!)

Milla's Aerial combat is seriously fun as well lol, I love flying in mid-air, so much more smooth and a pleasant little enhancement from Judith's from Vesperia.

The only thing I wish there was, was the upgrade of artes. I mean there are some but I loved how grindy it was to get 3 Fireballs >9 Fireballs for 9999 Uses lol. I would have thought they'd amp more skill' animations for Xillia this time around.

also I have some questions...

-Doesn't it seem like Wind Blade I, is too good of a skill?... lol It's like the only skill I use on Milla (GREAT Range, GREAT Speed, LOW TP, Easily Chained, I've used it 4000+ times already lool)
-How is it getting 10,000 GRADE? Does it take a really long while to get the titles+grade? Is there a guide to getting them all?

I want to say they specifically removed getting really high hit counts to provide such a large buff because it's exactly too grindy. Too many players would feel the need to grind/bot such an achievement. I know I put Rita on Damage 1 and spammed with OL1 with a bunch of different spells to get them to 9999 while I had an anime running on the screen instead and the controller in my hand pushing Circle. The only arte that gets specific bonuses all the way to 9999, as far as I know is Leia's Staff Rain.

Elize's TP pool is insane. It just doesn't go down. You have to really try hard at the late/end game for it to deplete.

Several of Milla's Magi have longer starting animations when activated on the ground compared to in the air. One that particularly comes to mind is Grave, which is instant in midair, but she has a twirling animation when you use it on the ground.

Wind Blade I is pretty good. I think I preferred it over II because it didn't force you to be airborne, but I can't exactly remember. Lightning I and II are by far her most powerful though.
