Yeah, from what I've seen on their website, it mentions nothing about any new combat system. It's using the same Multi-Line Linear Motion Battle System as it originally did. I played Vesperia PS3 after Graces, and changing to that battle system bugged the hell out of me. Not sure if I can go from Xillia 2 to Symphonia. Flex Range is significantly better than Multi-Line though. dat Free Run. dat commands.
At the very least, it's the PS2 version so there'll be a few (tiny) new things for those who only played the GC one. dem hi-ougi

It's a shame they're going for such an easy money grab.
Spoiler
Alvin's battle showcase. All those arte names that didn't show up. And whoever is playing has no idea what he's doing. They're either playing a New Game+ or it's a beta build with all artes unlocked. He uses three. Tiger Blade, Variable Trigger, and Fierce Demon Fang. Doesn't even showcase that Charge changes Demon Fang into Fierce Demon Fang.
Spoiler
Elize's battle showcase. Augh that Teepo Roar voice. And whoever is playing still has no idea what he's doing. That Teepo Roar spam. At least they showed Teepo ON/OFF, but since they don't do a comparison, anyone who doesn't know about it wouldn't notice at all. It's the point where she puts Teepo on her back like a backpack. It changes her from Physical to Magical, making her Negative Gate area of effect larger. Depending on skills equipped, there's other bonuses.
Spoiler
Rowen's. At least it shows his conductor skill. His voice reminds me of Batman though. Trying too hard.http://youtu.be/-kb6Ni_Ew5Y?t=6m
He's 62, not smoking a pack every hour.
