Monster Life Breeding and Play Reference (WIP)
Chilly Wrote:Hehehe...you guys can say it, no need to gingerly approach the subject. I dropped the ball, big time on this one. I mean to update the Reference, I really do, but after working on all my Attendance mules and training a few levels/using up hour-long expiring EXP coupons, I just can't find the time especially since adding and editing farms no longer took just grabbing them off the screen, I had to check for expiration and such.

I do, however have the time this morning to convert everything to what you all wanted in a publicly accessible and collectively manageable Google Spreadsheet. Their spreadsheet program is pretty basic (i.e. bad) compared to Excel so I'll get everything done there first.

The biggest change you will notice is the removal of the Chin. I intended it to draw individuals to Southperry and to foster farm community development and act as a call-to-arms, where people should look out for changes in farms. While the first goal might have been slightly achieved, I will admit, that over time it was becoming just an easy way to become more visible and rarely did people submit observations on other farms.

The Checkback column indicates when 50% or greater of the specific species will expire, the Last Checked, obviously Last Checked.

The first two species of monsters is complete and will serve as a preview to what the remaining will look like.

Here it is.

Also, let me know if you would like to join the ranks of individuals tasked to edit and update.

There are so many farms and updates, especially with expiring, that come in it really is unfair to expect one person to keep updating the list. What you have done for us by even make this thread is help with leveling and breeding, and no one can blame you for having a life. Call it what you want, but this method will not only help you but help keep everything more organized.

I think it looks great, and once the name of the doc is changed to the appropriate field it will work much better than before. The only concern is the removal of the Chin. I still think, even regardless of how people have used it, there is a function for it. I think it functions as a mark of a farm that is more trustworthy to still have the monsters on the list. There are time when you can go to one farm without the Chin, and it be completely different from what the list says. I still there is some use for it, even if it can be abused-regardless it is your decision.

It would be nice to help update the list if it is possible, I sent a request on the preview for now.

SaptaZapta Wrote:What do you need from people volunteering to help edit? Gmail address?
Also, does Google Docs offer versioning, or some other method to recover if some well-meaning updater manages to mess it up?

You can request permission by sending a gmail address, but Chilly; would be the one to ask for how he would like people to sign up.
For your other question, there is a "Revision history" and a restore feature, as well as the ability to download a copy, so I think we will be good if someone make a mistake.
