What do you look out for when main-ing a character/class/job?

I've always been quite fond of magical users, so that inclines me towards them. I also very much like support classes so that influences me further. I'd rather be the player that others rely on to complete whatever goal. I also love classes that have very elegant skills that have some sort of air of godness? So yes, obviously my main is a Bishop
