I don't know if this will help your specific situation, but I'll share anyway. I got a very similar message previously and discovered it happened because I didn't have enough space on my C: drive for temporary files that were being created for Maple. I ended up having to reinstall Windows (virus was creating temp files and filling any available space), but it's never been back since.
Try checking your available hard drive space.
