1. I finally played a normal game without any issues. Woo!
2. I got forced into mid (hah) which I don't normally play. I consider mid to be my worst lane, even worse than my jungle. Turns out though that all the effort I had put into learning how to lane as an ADC actually let me survive the first few minutes as Zed, a pretty noteworthy thing for me since the laning phase is when I usually lose in mid. Gave bot a few kills and generally had a good early game.
I think my teamfighting was pretty bad though, since I would ult Draven, blow everything, then get out, but Jarvan would always end up ulting someone else--I suppose I should've ulted whoever he ulted, since even with my ult I couldn't 100-0 Draven because of Nid/Kayle heals, plus neither our Vayne nor our Yorick could get to Draven especially after Jarvan would ult and not deactivate it. My team didn't really communicate all that much and our Jarvan picked really sketchy engages towards the end that lost us the game. I'm not going to blame the loss on anything specific, I just know what I did that game that I shouldn't have.
Also whenever I play mid I tend to tunnel a lot. I just don't have the same map awareness/decision making as I do when I play ADC/support. I find I'm not able to keep timers on summoners/wards/objectives/anything unless I'm playing ADC/support. Might be a matter of how comfortable I am on what/who I'm playing.
