I believe the point he was trying to make is the switching occurs instantly at your current position when you use a skill for the other Zero. (or at least, that's what's disappointing me)
It's not like, Alpha can go stand over here and kill these guys, while Beta is over there doing their own thing.

There's no asynchronous character control like you'd expect from controlling "two" characters.

I was expecting it to look like what Zero does in the character selection. 2 characters side by side. Even if the other side would just stand there like an android. Now it pretty much looks like a single same guy gender-bending between male and female.
