Alright. Going to get heavily pomegranated on for this, but I must respond.
Consider this completely made-up scenario:
Person working her ass off as usual, mood in the morning as you described it.
She receives a call that her beloved grandmother has been hospitalized in critical condition.
She informs her superior that she must leave for the East Coast immediately for at least a few days.
She is coldly informed that all vacation requests must be filed in triplicate at least two weeks in advance.
She says it's a family medical emergency.
They say a grandmother is not a first-degree relative and therefore it isn't such an emergency.
She blows up and rage-quits this heartless company that treats her like that after all she's done for them.
Note that I have absolutely no inside knowledge to base this on. Unlike some here, I had no personal communications with Girasol. This is pure imagination answering your question as to what could change a person's mood like that.
