How do you deal with rude players on Maple?

since I'm "high level" people often assume I'm rude expecially when hanging around HHG1 where I go to just talk to others and chill inbetween training.
I get people telling I have no life, etc, etc, when I know they want to just as badly reach my level so normally I just say nice things and avoid giving them the satisfaction of trying to make me look like a jerk. Or I just say nothing at all.
