Kotaku: Should people expect returning characters, should they expect most of their favorites from Brawl to come back?

Sakurai: The reality of the situation unfortunately is that there are certain limitations on the 3DS, so we're forced into a situation where we may need to reduce some characters to a certain degree, but we're really working hard to include as many characters as possible.

That doesn't sound good at all. Wether its limiting the amount of characters or limiting the ability of said characters for both games just because the 3DS capabilities can't handle it is both its pretty unfair and stupid. It further validates what some said here about Nintendo making a mistake by putting resources into developing both games at the same time, when it is the Wii U that needs the game to save its life. I hope I'm missunderstanding something.
