Yeah, when something like this happened to me (Fredrick had my items) it wasn't as widespread (there was still a thread of several individuals affected, but I guess it wasn't big enough for Nexon to care) and I lost 20b+ in equips.
I got a 2x EXP card as compensation. It was on a lv200 character.
Needless to say, I haven't played much since then.
