Dota 2 's full release is next month. In the long run the International has been better than Riot's tournaments because it is actually run well and there isn't stupid pro players looking on the screen trying to cheat. Guinsoo sucks at keeping the game balanced. Icefrog is better. Right now the only reason LoL is so much better is because Riot invests money into the pro teams salaries and such. China is the king of dota and Korea will soon become a popular source for dota as Nexon has 1.7million dollar prizepool tournaments in Korea. Things are looking bright for Dota 2's full release. Dota 2 will become the better game in the long run.

Dota 2 has been in Beta for awhile because they wanted to provide at least 80% + of the current dota hero pool and implement all the features for competitions, items, and also it is the number 1 played game on steam.
