To the people saying that it won't affect your gameplay if you don't buy it, too bad, but you're wrong. The current 10 year old NX wh0re community we have feeds Nexon America loads of money, more than they need to keep the game alive for another couple of years, and since they want more and more money, they'll keep adding more "game breaking" items to the CS.
More of those items will mean more powerfull characters, which means that NXless will be KSed by some 10 year old that steals his moms credit card a lot more. If you had a hard time training already with all those KSers and hackers we have now, think of what could happen if every NX user would be able to deal 1.5 times the damage that is considered "godly" right now? All the NXless with their "avarage" damage will live in a hell, and they will probably quit, leaving only the immature people.
Sure, you can use the MTS, but not everyone is that smart that they can make loads of mesos and NX of the MTS. Also, I have put lots of items in the MTS(scrolls, with some very good ones too), but I only made ~10k so far. That took me 2 months. Assuming those items will cost 25k or something like that, it would take me 5 months of MTSing to get 3 months of slightly better damage, since a full set of whatever they give stats will cost 10 times as much.
Really, Nexon America has already messed this once so great game up, but if they go on like this, nothing will be left. I'm happy I still have LaTale if I quit Maple.
EDIT: Other reason MTS isn't the solution for NXless people: NX cash cards and bought cash is INSTANT. MTS requires you to wait before you get your cash, if you manage to sell something. It also requires mesos to really use the MTS.
