Had to go in for a Left Tympanoplasty. There was a hole in my eardrum from a tube that got removed.
The surgery was successful, but it's a post surgical annoyance. To prevent the eardrum from moving and to allow the graft to stay in place on the eardrum, they put this goop in your ear that hardens. A doctor has to remove this, you can't. So imagine there's something inside your ear that tickles and reduces the amount you can hear and there's no way for you to get it out. I keep fidgeting with my ear. It's so annoying.
