Also, my screen is 1366x768 pixels but I prefer to keep Maple in Windowed mode so I can do other things while still keeping an eye on it, and vice versa. The larger window size is very inconvenient, and I would hate to be forced into an even wider one.
I understand that some people prefer to play in windowed mode for various reasons. I do it too sometimes.
But I can't help but think that designing a game with the idea that the players are going to afk is not the best decision. Considering other MMOs don't do it (that, or they have scaleable UIs--something that Maple does not), incurring development costs so that your players have an easier time not playing the game seems almost silly. I'd rather that they focus on the experience in-game, rather than the experience of afking.
As for the actual hardware issue, I think we're well beyond the era of 800*600. Realistically, anyone who plays Maple in the first place would be fairly updated with technology. It's highly implausible that anyone would be running Maple on hardware that cannot play Maple in HD. With how complex software has become nowadays, you wouldn't be having much of an enjoyable experience on the internet at all in the first place if your computer cannot run something as basic as Maple.
