Finally did some combining again, with interesting results.

2 A+ of the same type (Bovines), mine level 9:
S 1, A 2, C 1
2 A+ of the same type (Bovines), mine level 4-5:
A+ 4, A 8, C 1
2 S of the same type (Bovines), mine level 3:
A+ 5, C 5


Which, (a) pineapple off stop giving me C ranks. (b) My higher level critter definitely had a better chance of producing an equal rank. © 33 A+ & A+ combinations before I got an S rank, 43 if you count the ones where I was combining with other species.
