VPQ set is a bunch of accessories. It shouldnt interfere with a root abyss set.

The VPQ hat does, unfortunately. It'd probably be best to use 3 of the accessories for the 50atk 3 set effect, like Shinku said. Or, also like Shinku said, you can do 6 set Empress with Shoulder instead of Hat and the full VPQ set for 60% boss damage.

Also, I don't think we're getting Black Bean weapons.
