Yup, I saw the same thing months ago. Like back in March of this year... When I saw people with obvious hacker names like "llllllllllll" or "VWVWWWVV" or "2xxvwv11323llllllxx" in Ellinia and Sleepywood constantly spawning and disappearing in the air all over the map for days and days I had started asking and asking, sloothing and such. Basically I found out that they just farm the JQ ores 24/7. They've been doing this since before March when I first saw them so if this were to create an "economic meltdown" it would've happened by now. When Maker Skill comes out, all ore and plate prices are gonna rise, the only difference is all the people that have been farming ores for months with hacks are gonna be richer than you. (More than they already are now) We'll see when it comes...
