Maybe. But the thing is, they may be able to manipulate this hack to go to other quests. Such as scroll quests that give 60% Glove attack etc. OR maybe that quest that gives the napoleon cape. Heck, anything that is a quest reward is possible I think.

No, they can't. The hex edit simply makes it so when they click on an NPC(whichever one they chose), the client tells the server "Hey! I just clicked on Pink Viola (repeatable for ores), give me my ores please". This is limited basically to the repeatable ore quests, as I can't recall anything else like it. It's harsh, it's a tragedy for the maker skill, but it won't spread to scrolls.
