He can't see the screen from where he is sitting.
He was looking at a light that was shining into his eyes and they paused the game to fix the light.

They set it to where none of the lights wouldn't hit them.

if they had an issue, all they had to do was raise their hand or pause the game and an administartor would come and assist them with the issue. You shouldn't have to look at the direction of the monitor to fix that issue. That's too cheesy for me to believe.
