though IP banning may not stop all the hackers since it's easy to change your IP, it should stop the most "script kiddies" and make it so that, to hack, you need more knowlegde. That way the overall number of hackers should go down.

actually nexon (or INCA) did that part pretty well. not many people noticed, but the hackers\legits reduced dramatically because of recent additions like advanced gameguard protections and auto-ban systems (yes, we know that it also bans legit people, but it also limits hackers).

There are numerous scientists that disagree. DJB even gives security guarantees for his programs.

Just requires some design thoughts...

everything can be hacked, especially programs on your computer (not on the net). cryptography doesnt count, if thats what you are talking about.
