one of them even whatsapped me. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. FFS i just think those sandals are pineappleing hideous, get the pineapple over it.

I remember those were popular around here a decade ago, but only as a more secure alternative to flip-flops, for walking or standing around in water if being barefoot was unsafe. Never knew anyone considered them "fashionable", although the same design in leather is apparently perennially popular in Eastern Europe.
(Although, googling them now, I see high-heeled and platform variations in many colors... apparently it is or was a thing at some point... ew)
