Just for a 2D sprite game, I expected faster than 40 seconds because I've loaded some 3D games faster than that. One of my laptops takes 5 minutes to load as well. Another took about two minutes.
As a side note, I always found it weird that the memory usage spikes up a bit when you log out to login screen. I don't know enough about computers to know why though.
