CrazyForDex Wrote:Wow you are really making it hard for me to refrain from entering this discussion. Labeling all Latinos together as "gun/drug smugglers" is pretty down right retarded. Btw, idk how you define terrorism, but I do not necessarily see the Latin cartels as terrorists, at least not in the context of U.S. affairs. Also, I can not recall any major Latino terrorist operations in the United States whereas I can think of several that have been committed by Islamic extremists.

Feel free, but your perspective is incrediblyyyy skewed.
Edit: And I didn't say all Latino's are gun smugglers, drug smugglers or whatever. Just the Latino's that have been pushing it, have done more damage than Muslim Zealots.
CrazyForDex Wrote:This also isn't true. Clearly some stereotypes have been created from some sort of racist idea or another and there may be some "truth" to those, but some are just down right ridiculous and stupid.
....You do realize you contradicted yourself conceding in the very next statement there maybe truth in them. They exist to identify a stranger to yourself. That doesn't mean as a police officer I should arrest/pulled over/harrass every latino in Arizona over their paper work, but if they can barely speak english, are a construction worker, I think as a human being who has cognitive thought I should engage that person and see if he really is legally allowed here. Whole different argument but you see my point, i hope.
The Great One Wrote:It dose matter the whole reason why the FBI was even called was because of what he looked like. If he was white we wouldn't be having this discussion.
If he was white with an airsoft rifle somewhere near a school, we would. Context.
The Great One Wrote:They look like no Arabs I know or have seen especially the younger one.
Yeah the assumption they were arabic before it was clarified they were from Chechya(SP?) was based on the fact they just blew something up. I can't argue an opinion but I can argue mine was shared.
The Great One Wrote:Here you go again assuming things about people you don't know based on a discussion where you don't know my position on said subject(You really make a bad habit of this with me at least) but I'm not gonna turn this into a gun debate some weapons are banned deal with it it's been done before and probably be done again. Not that I care either way.
Cute way to save face. See the thing is, you started ranting about it.

Could you explain the context of that rant when it was not at all related with my point and clearly was a mistake of interpretation on your end? You can't ban guns because they are part of an amendment, you can ban pressure cookers in any large event and not even get a single cry of resistance. I had to clarify that twice now.The Great One Wrote:Each time those generalizations have saved no one no one has been caught for looking like a terrorist that actually was a terrorist the only thing it has done is lead to countless false alarms like this one.
...Should probably look up history of Thwarted Terrorist Acts, think that's the acronym, especially in highly density Muslim concentrations where we kept an eye on them. We thwarted I think 4 terrorist acts, making that generalization/assumption.
The Great One Wrote:Yea I know what it was to show what I said is that those same generalization that you claim save lives don't..ever and that the generalization don't help use prevent the next attack is it is usually done by someone who dose not fit that stereotype. But you seem to think me thinking that a guy was stopped based on his nationality and nothing else is a bad thing. Yea i agree the kid was a bit foolish if he didn't think there would be a bunch of paranoid people scared of any cooker they see. Or he could have thought I look nothing like these guys they were white people after all I don't know you'd have to ask him.
Refer to previous response.
The Great One Wrote:Yet we don't have people calling the DEA on every Latino hanging on a street corner. Yet this one guy gets a tactical team around his apartment.
...What? They came to his house and questioned him. They even said he should be more careful considering the tension from something that happened not even 30 days ago.
The Great One Wrote:How do you do the whole multi quote thing?
You manually copy and paste the original quote tag and block it however you want.
