I have a friend whos been dating this guy for like 5 years. He wanted a "break" or something, any who, they broke up a few days before their 5 year of dating. She was a wreak about it, and eventually they got back together a day or two before the 5 year mark. Last week, I found out they broke up again, and from what Im hear, it is because the last break "wasnt long enough".
Ill level with you guys on these two people. The guy is a really nice guy, and is really caring, soft spoken. She is weird, hard to deal with sometimes, and pushy. In a way, theyre kinda opposites. But I would also say, that he deserves better than her, because of the way she interacts with her guy friends and other people. That said, I feel its shitty to "ask for a break" in a relationship. Asking for a break is basically saying "hey, I wanna date you, but I want to not be dating you for a period of time". To me, it opens up the possibility of cheating, because youre technically not in a relationship, so its all right, when its not at all.
