I'm past the cave now and generating 100 lp/sec and that's all going to the sorceress so that I can get stronger since the castle just did me in. 
Getting the better sword first was not a good choice, now I have to save 640 klp so it's Maple time as I won't be getting there any time soon.
Update: Beat the castle without using any Berserk potions. Whoop!
