Usually characterized by saying things without much emotion or in a way that it is said as if it is not a joke. Also sometimes the humor is considered implied and thus the joke is told in a very straightforward way. Not saying it is a bad thing (always), but at least the type of humor that my roomates boyfriend prefers (he is from the UK) is very dry to say the least.
