Okay, as promised, I've written up some formal rules. These are meant to keep the experience enjoyable and long lasting.
Mazz can you update the first post with this info?
1. Basic Adventurers Only
This includes all Adventurer branches of Warriors, Mages and Bowman. Thieves are limited to Shadowers and Night Lords only (no Dual Blades) and Pirates are limited to Corsair and Buccaneers (no Jetts). Edit: No Cannoneers either, forgot they existed.
2. No NLC
This prevents people from grinding on unbalanced mobs such as Jesters, Aliens etc. but is extended to all NLC mobs. The exception to this rule would be if we ever did a guild CWKPQ run. You are allowed to buy potions from the NLC vendor should you choose to.
3. No Monster Park Extreme
This is way to overpowered to even be considered, we want to keep the fun long lasting.
4. No Party Play Zones
This means no LHC or SH. Should we choose as a guild to do bosses such as Empress or Von Leon, we'll make adjustments to this rule accordingly (for questing basically).
5. No NX
This rule is subject to change for cosmetic items pending futher discussion. Basically, the purpose of this rule is to disallow any sort of cash benefits. This includes but is not limited to:
I think that's pretty much it. All rules are open for debate, but they're in place to keep the original spirit of the game intact and alive, even if we're trying to live in a bit of a bubble. We want to keep this fun, so if you guys have any suggestions or complaints about these rulings, they're open to discussion. From here on out any new rulings will be decided as a group.
Additionally, on a more competitive note, I plan on providing somewhat daily (or every couple of days) ranking system for this project. Only characters in the guild at the time of each days posting will be entered into the ranks. This is solely due to the fact that I'll be pulling the info directly from the guild.
Finally, as some of us are reaching the 100s, I'd like to get some old school training parties together such as Squid parties or Viking parties. Also, once we have some more high leveled (100+) characters, I'd like to host a zakum run. Please let me know if this is something you'd be interested in doing!
