It's not like additional options are anything special, it's just as a change in the natural stat variation of items, allowing for more stats, even ones that aren't pre-existing, and higher bonuses. The big thing is now that there's Flames, you can basically re-roll what the stats are like clean as if you went and hunted for another version of the item with different stats.
Seriously? That would be odd since Max mentions it but it's not that big a deal seeing as any Stones of Eternal Life dropping after would also have Additional Options.
