Going off of my last post:
The bag is gone from the middle of the room. I assume it's somewhere in here:

That was my desk. I kept it clean, but it happens to be next to the recycling bin (which apparently is indistinguishable from a garbage can), so this happens.
Note that I don't use the common room. I try not to look around when I leave/enter.
Not entirely sure why we have a huge bag of crushed cans. Just showed up one day lol
