Well, by return I mean...

Assassins from Este Isla try to kill Sadao and Emi (using some kind of long-ranged projectile, IIRC). There's some link to the earthquakes, but I can't remember how exactly.

Oh, and there's a chance that they might be able to regain some of their powers, despite Earth being completely mana-dry.

Like I said, the action's only beginning to return around chapter 6 (actually started around chapter 4 or so), so it's not full-blown SWORDS AND MAGIC battles yet (screw the slow scans, ugh), but if it carries on like this, we'll probably start getting a pretty healthy dose of action every week soon enough.

I don't need full blown SWORDS AND MAGIC. Spice and Wolf and Maou Maoyuu Yuusha were above average because they managed to blend a really healthy mix of fantasy and romance elements (Whereas Shana and Zero no Tsukaima went too far in the 'romance' direction, as previously described). If Hataraku turns out to be some cliched combination of shounen and harem, I'd probably still watch the whole season and call it decent and entertaining. (If only because I have nothing time-consuming in my life right now to cause me to fall behind)
