Are there any differences from which boss you hunt for Elite/Nova equipment?
I spent about an hour of the 2x drop event (No familiar or any extra drop bonuses) killing Velderoth over and over again for them. Yeah, wrong text for killing him, but whatever... I'll try again later, but so far I've gotten:

1x Nova Hyades Boots
2x Elite Helisium Magician Capes
1x Elite Helisium Thief Capes
1x Elite Heliseum Pirate cape
