General Outlay of MapleStory Versions, from what I see.
KMS: Creates everything (except exclusives) original, with the tendency of brokenness that needs nerfing down the road. And never ever completes things (rebalancing always gets cut halfway when they're bored, keep trying to create new cycles like Cygnus instructors and Novas that were never completed, and finally completed Resistance via Xenon as two-class-in-one.)
JMS: Creates awesome original exclusive content. When they take content (EG Root Abyss), they improve on the content for the benefit of the players. When they removed content (Monster Books when they were first removed), they instead revamped them to higher levels (Familiars).
GMS & CMS: Creates unoriginal exclusive content (Jett/Dragon Warriors are both ultimately just pirate reskins and remixes) and simply just takes everything else from everywhere else. I don't count Masteria and the old China Maps anymore even if they were original since those were eons ago.
EMS: At least they tried (Veracent, MapleStory Hell Mode), but also by and large a feeder.
MSEA: Creates terrible original content (Enchanted Forest) or "creates" exclusive contents (ZEN - Dragon Warrior), takes contents from other versions and nerfs them hard. Nerfing is a default move to the point when CMS took Enchanted Forest, they even had to buff the content to make it viable.
