Coming from someone who's been in poverty all her life, I 100% agree with all of these.
What people also fail to understand is that being poor does not forbid you from buying nice things. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say "If you're so poor, then why do you have game systems/a computer/internet/etc?" Yeah, because being poor totally means we can't enjoy having nice things among the pomegranatehole we live in.
Being poor does not mean we want to look poor too.
