Fairy Tail Thread (Spoilers)

Damn you gotta give it to FairyTail, it really is unpredictable ONLY when it comes to plot out of battles. I don't think athere's anybody that's been expecting the way the Eclypse plot is developing.

I can't even guess if Future Rogue is actually evil or just stupid, and I'm not convinced that he was responsible for the shadow that possessed present rogue who wanted to kill Gajeel for no real reason either now (See further down).

The death of future Lucy was as important as the death of one of Naruto's clones. She said it herself, if present Lucy had died, she would have died too. By saving present Lucy, she gets to live on (because eventually present Lucy will travel in time and become future Lucy.

This really gets on my nerves, when anime/games/media say this The grandfather paradox doesn't even really exist, quantum mechanics actually makes it absolutely fine to travel back in time (or someone else travels back in time) and kill your past self, and nothing will happen to future you. For instance, Edolas is only really "Another timeline" where something stopped people being able to cast magic from their bodies, but Makarov dying there didn't kill Earthland Makarov.

2- he is 100% likely to be the one that was controlling present Rogue, who was trying to kill Gajeel.

I'm not convinced any more: He must know Natsu is the strongest person there, and the shadow was totally willing to kill Gajeel just because, but didn't use his first sneak attack on natsu which would guarantee that he could kill Lucy. Perhaps this Rogue doesn't want to kill anyone he doesn't have to, but has somehow been convinced that the only way to change the future is to "kill past Lucy" (perhaps by the evil shadow in the same way it possessed present rogue? In which case it would be lying to him)

Also, the princess made a point of saying that there could be even more time travellers. Maybe an actual Shadow dragon followed them back too, as we've seen that dragons don't necessarily have to maintain their dragon form, when Grandeene talked to igneel, she was in the form of a ball of light, he could be using shadow dragon magic to travel through shadows in the same way that Present Rogue and Shadow-Iron Dragon mode Gajeel were able to.

3- We know present Rogue is reforming to be a good guy. Given 7 years living in a world of Apocalypse might have reverted his change or made it worse, but I lean to believe the true Rogue wouldn't just do these kind of stuff

If sting, Lector and Frosch were killed by the dragons, that could probably do it. Something would have to push him over the edge though.
