[COLOR="#cc8899"]Forced to go top lane in champ select. Shen was open. Had our top lane pref person spam "pick shen pick shen." I picked Shen thinking he was going to trade with me. Turns out he owns very few champions, none of them mids that I play. So Akali goes mid instead, and I end up going top. The top instead goes support on Soraka.
Our Twitch and Akali get very fed very early, so I just keep farming top vs Jayce. Jayce pushes the lane to turret a few times, since he can, but I never really get threatened. I even eventually forced him out of lane with gradual damage and burnt his mana down dodging pokes. Teleported once or twice, ulted once or twice, died once to get Twitch another kill on Jayce, we Baroned, pushed, Dragoned, Baroned again, pushed, won the game.
*Shrug*
First time Shen.

Second game of the series worried me - we lost, and lost hard. Enemy team invaded, Hecarim ignored the retreat pings and died near blue golem. Then immediately went BACK to blue golem upon respawn and died again. Mid died 3 or 4 times in lane to ganks and never warded. Top fed repeatedly. Vayne died repeatedly. I died once...
And then this happened. This match was everything I could hope for in a promotion series match. Karth and I stayed relatively even in farm and CS for most of the game. He got ahead for a short bit in kills early game, but fell off - the Mejais was a very overconfident choice on his part. Dual split pushing from Singed and I and a couple good teamfights later...

It was hard fought and hard won - there were no major mistakes made, I don't think we ever aced them, nor they us. I did get a good laugh when Maokai and Soraka both flashed away from 2 of my team...right into my ult + minefield. That was such a great feeling.
