Well, something I think should work out pretty nicely is to have some skills affect the entire expedition, for example. That way, it wouldn't feel needed to have a particular member forced to use that. Hyper body, haste, and the likes could qualify like this, while others like smokescreen, or heal should remain in a party.

And this should work even better with the new boss drop system, where the more people the merrier, so there isn't really a chance to put anyone alone in a party as long as you bring a buddy.

i've always been of the train of thought that expeditions should be just "bigger parties" i understand stuff like smokescreen being party only though, otherwise it would be insanely OP, but others like (current) heal, hyper body, and such should have been available to the whole exped.
