The right to own a gun was created back when the country was still wild and it had many threats. In this day and age there is literally no threat to America except Americans themselves. The guns used to be almost a necessity in protecting yourself and your land, but now it's actually what assaults you and robs you of what's yours.
There is no possible way civilians would ever forcefully overthrow the US government. It literally cannot ever be done. They would get crushed like grapes regardless of their basic weaponry. It'd be like ants throwing specks of dirt at a rhino's thick ass. So if the government did in fact become even more corrupt to the point of hostility towards its own people you better believe we'd stand no chance in hell in defending ourselves.
The idiots who believe they can fight back with force will be the first to drop dead.
I disagree on the idea the fact that majority of the government, besides essentially the law making individuals, are pretty fed up with the government. If there was a rebellion, the government would fall in less than a week.
