Pokémon X and Pokémon Y

I don't understand the point of a Normal Type Eevee Evolution when that's what the base Eevee is. If they wanted to make it normal they could just make base Eevee a little stronger and say, "Want Normal Type? Don't evolve it."

I also think that if they were going to make a Normal Eeveelution they'd make it look more like Eevee. the pokemon is all about adapting to evolve, it doesn't need to "adapt" to be normal, it already is. I think a normal eeveelution would just be a bigger stronger version of Eevee.
