Actually you get 3 resets along the way: level 15, level 30, and level 50 so if you want to move points around then it won't hurt. But yeah, you won't be able to follow builds perfectly until 50 because of the "x points in first job" rule. There are lots of useful passive skills for players to max, but because of level requirements, you sometimes will have to bite the bullet and throw points somewhere else until you can use the passives towards the requirements.
