Yes, the strongest bosses become exponentially stronger, and yes, only the best 1% (or less, idc) of the people can kill them.
But, there are what, 50+ bosses in Maplestory now? Nobody who can kill HT in one shot will bother with anything of zak-PB much, as they're too easy for them, and they can get their profit out of the higher tier bosses like Cygnus and Magnus.
Now the lower-funded people can team up and go against the littler bosses like papu, zak, HT, czak, PB, etc, which are now relatively un-hunted and thus accessible. They could even potentially sell the drops for a small profit which they can use to become better.
You don't have to be able to beat the strongest boss of MS all the time to enjoy the game (almost) to it's fullest.
Except there's no POINT in doing any of the older bosses because of what Nexon has done. They have essentially made all old bosses useless. Even the EXP you gain from them is a joke, because it's 10% what it used to be, while HP is 1000% of what it used to be. Even bosses with unchanged HP have changed EXP. The bosses are laughable, there's absolutely no reason to do the old bosses. The items they drop is a joke in comparison to what they've released. All bosses that are "doable" for low/moderately funded players are completely worthless. They phased them out, replaced by these top tier bosses that have so much HP that it's impossible to even dream of beating them without spending a fortune and a half.
They have effectively made being a low spender bad, and have essentially kicked out people who don't spend way too much.
